In this bespoke project, the clients harboured a vision of a home that seamlessly marries traditional essence with contemporary design. Central to their aspirations was the need to dismantle and reconfigure certain elements provided by the builders, facilitating the creation of a tailored space that authentically reflects their tastes and preferences. Recognising the importance of striking a delicate balance between modernity and tradition, the principal architect of Concepto Studio -- Edwin Stanley, voiced concerns that an excessively modern setup might cause the furniture to appear incongruous. At the same time, an overly ethnic decor could lend the entire apartment an outdated and heavy-handed aesthetic. With a shared commitment to ensuring that the furniture remains the focal point, the architects embarked on a mission to craft a space characterised by subtle elegance and a touch of contemporary charm. Their vision encompassed creating a muted ambience imbued with just the right amount of modern quirkiness, thus achieving a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation.
